Bio

Aakash Tyagi is a Professor of Practice in the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Department and holder of the Zachry Teaching Professor I chair in the College of Engineering at Texas A&M University (TAMU). Aakash joined TAMU in Fall 2014 as its first CSE Professor of Practice.

His teaching interests are in Data Structures and Algorithms, Computer Organization, Computer Systems, and Hardware Verification.

Prior to joining TAMU, Aakash worked at Intel Corporation for two decades where he was a Senior Director of the Server Development Group, and led the design of Intel’s Knights Landing Xeon-Phi CPU for Exascale Supercomputing.
